「工芸を楽しむキモノ時間」
和装は帯や帯締め、半衿など様々な服飾品を伴い完成されます。そのひとつひとつは職人や作家の手による品々で、さらに簪や和傘、帯飾りなどは着物をより華やかにいろどります。着物はファッションであり工芸でもあります。
石川県を代表する牛首紬、加賀友禅、能登上布の着物をはじめ加賀象嵌、加賀繡、組紐、輪島塗、和傘など、キモノを楽しむための工芸品をご紹介します。
本企画展で、キモノに親しんでいる方には「新たな発見」を、そうでない方へは「和装へのいざない」を感じ取っていただければ幸いです。

“Kimono time to enjoy crafts”
Kimono is completed with various clothing accessories such as obi, obi band, and half-collar. Each item is handcrafted by craftsmen and artists, and kanzashi (hairpins), Japanese umbrellas, and obi decorations make the kimono even more gorgeous. Kimono is both fashion and craft.
We will introduce crafts to enjoy kimono, such as Ushikubi Tsumugi, Kaga Yuzen, and Noto Jofu kimono, which are representative of Ishikawa Prefecture, as well as Kaga inlay, Kaga silk, braid, Wajima lacquerware, and Japanese umbrellas.
For those who are familiar with kimono, we hope that this exhibition will be a “new discovery” for those who are not familiar with it, and an “invitation to kimono” for those who are not.
